About Me

I am Sarah, a stay at home mom of two wonderful, little boys. In my life before kids I was a fifth grade teacher. I now work with first year teachers, which I love. Creating is one of the ways I stay sane. I become very cranky if I have not stamped or scrapped in a while. Join me on this creative journey.

Elemental Doodles October Challenge

The challenge for the Elemental Doodles Design Team was to create something using red, black and white. I have to say I pondered for a while but then I saw Karen's sketch (you can see it here) and a card was born. :) The sentiment inside the card says "right next door or miles apart, friends are always close at Heart" How true is that? One of the things I love about Elemental Doodles is that most of their stamps come with a mini set, how cute is that? They fit really well with small punches. The other thing I like is that ED carries acrylic rods to put you smaller stamps on. You can look through the clear rod and know exactly where to stamp it.

Now with the picture you can see what I am talking about. I just checked and the rods are on sale for $6.38. Pretty cool. You can buy them here. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

2 Sketches 4 You

I made this card for my Mom to brighten her day. :) I used the sketch from 2 sketches 4 you. The Sweet Treat Cups were sitting on my work table so I thought I would play with them some more. All supplies are SU except the designer paper which was just a scrap in my paper drawer. It was definitely an interesting sketch. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Stamping Group Projects

On Saturday I have my Stamping Group and I wanted to share the projects we will be doing. The first one I CASED from Kimberly Van Diepan I changed the colors but the concept is the same. I love how the Sweet Centers work so well with circle punches.

The second project also uses the Sweet Centers stamp set but I combined it with the Fancy Favor die cut for the Big Shot. How cute are these bags? I loved using the window sheets. I also have to add I am loving the 1 3/4 circle punch. Pretty cool. I CASED the Halloween box from Angie Kennedy Juda.
The second box I thought would look great on a Thanksgiving table. We always have chocolate turkeys on our plates this would be a cute box to put them in.

The last project is just something fun I found on Splitcoast. How about making your own bows for packages? So easy and super cute. I just raided my scrap drawer to make these. So what do you think? You like? Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

So Very Grateful

There is a reason I love the Fall, the color orange. It just makes me happy. Big Sigh. :) The challenge over at The Pink Elephant is to create something Fallish. No problem. I used Kraft cardstock for my base and then stuck a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock into the Big Shot and viola texture, how cool is that? You have got to love that ribbon and then some added bling for that little extra pow. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Brown plus Something Challenge

Happy Monday! Don't pass out I have three posts in a row. Can I do one each day this week, we shall see. I combined two challenges this week. The challenge over at Stamp Something was to use the color brown and then something else. I love, love, love brown and pink together, so girly.
To achieve this card I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #39, you can find that sketch here. All supplies use are SU except the stamps which are Gina K. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog

Try saying that 10 times fast. :) I found a new stamp company that truly has the cutest stamps, I am in love with Francesca and Lillith. You can check out the challenge blog here. The first challenge was to make a birthday card, which was good for me because I need a few. I used the cute little bear from Chicken Girl Design. The sketch is Beate's weekend sketch. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Laura's Sketch 36

What a fun sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You this was (do you notice I am ignoring the whole issue that I have been a bad blogger lately) Back to the sketch, it took me a while to get exactly what I wanted but I like the way it turned out. Things have been crazy busy here but hopefully now that the Jewish Holidays are over things might slow down (I won't hold my breathe) All supplies are SU. I thought I would leave you with a cute photo of myself and the boys. (I just reread this and it sounds like I am saying I am cute, let me clarify it is a cute photo of the boys and I am in it as well) Last night Reid's Sunday School class had a welcoming ceremony at our temple, so we all got a little dressed up (a rare occasion indeed) Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.
